The story of ZORA

ZORA was found in Kritsa by 2 children who witnessed how a man took an iron bar and hit her on both front legs. He broke them both in one go. We were contacted and took her to a vet immediatly. He plastered both legs and she was taken in to a fosterhome in Elounda. She was very shy, skinny but happy to be alive!! Katja [foster mum] took care of her for almost 3 months. Her legs healed and she did put on weight. We sterilised her and prepared her for her big journey to Germany. She went there and found a fantastic home. Strangers are still not her favourite people but we are convinced that time heals almost every wound......

On the left you see her on her favourite bed in the foster home in Elounda with her friend Ernesto. As you can see we had to tie her up on the bed. This was to prevent her from walking around. Anyone can imagine how bad it would be if she decided to walk around on 2 plastered legs. It was hard but the only way to make sure that her bones would heal well. The right photo shows Zora on the couch with her new owner.
