This is “Spot” now re-named “Dobby” by his new owner in Holland. He spent the first eight years of his life in Crete chained to an old rusty barrel which was his “home”. This can just be seen behind the legs of our helper in the first photo.
We eventually persuaded his owner to let us take him and re-home him in Holland where he would have the chance of living a normal, happier life.
As you can see from the second photo, he got that chance when someone adopted him and he is certainly enjoying his new-found freedom!
How fantastic for him that he can now run free in open fields rather than live within a six metre circle!
