JoJo just rescued
JoJo just rescued

This is a dog we called JoJo. The photos above show him at the time he was rescued. As you can see, he was extremely thin and starving. He was tied up under a tree with no signs of food or water and just a few metres from him were two other dogs who were already dead and also looked to have been starved of food and water. Thank God for a lady who spotted him and phoned to report his plight - we rescued him just in time.

He was checked over by our vet, fostered by one of our helpers until he regained his weight and was put on the Mirtos Animal Project website where he was spotted by a Swiss family who fell in love with him. We eventually got him on a flight and the other two photos show him with his new family getting all the love and attention he deserves and also enjoying the freedom of his new garden.

Briony (above left) is a sweet, lovable dog who was pregnant and rescued by us. She gave birth to four adorable puppies whilst with us in foster care. Izzie in her new home

Izzie and her new pal
Izzie (re-named Liz) received a small mention in Issue 10 of our newsletter. She is a beautiful, sweet-natured, German Shepherd who was rescued by us having had her ears and tail ‘docked’. We think that this had been done either with a knife or scissors and we can’t imagine how much pain she endured. Despite this, she was still so friendly towards humans! The photos above show her relaxed, happy and content with her new pals in her new home in Holland. Nothing less than she deserves!
