This is “Tapas” who was spotted chained to a tree up in the mountains on Crete by some German tourists who were out on a hike. He was in so thin and in such a poor condition (see photo left) that, despite being a three hour walk from civilization, they took the chance that he would make it and brought him off the mountain then asked us if we could help. One of our helpers drove up to the nearest village and met these people and brought Tapas back with him.
Despite being so thin, his will to survive was so strong and he was such a friendly dog. Our president Ann fostered him and he quickly started to put on weight (see photo right). He is now in Holland and has found a wonderful home with all the food he needs and people who give him all the love and attention that he deserves.
